6,000 Gifts Bring Holiday Cheer To Older Adults!

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, a record-setting 6,000 gifts were delivered to older adults through the 11th annual Be A Santa To A Senior.

The holidays can be a difficult time of year for low income and isolated older adults. Our community service Victoria Lifeline works with older adults all year long and recognizes the importance of social engagement to their overall well-being, which is why we wanted to partner with Home Instead Senior Care to make the holidays brighter for those in need.

"Our volunteers are in the homes of older adults every day installing the Lifeline service and we hear the heartbreaking stories of loneliness and financial hardship," said Krystal Stokes, Communications & Public Relations Manager at Victoria Lifeline. "We are grateful for the opportunity to partner on this wonderful program and support older adults in our community."

The Vic Foundation hosted the launch of this year's Be A Santa To A Senior and served as a drop off location for presents. Victoria Hospital, the Victoria Hospital Guild and many other local organizations also partnered with Home Instead Senior Care to bring holiday cheer to older adults in our community.

Be A Santa To A Senior has delivered over 19,000 gifts to low income and isolated older adults since 2008.
