For many of us, the holidays are a joyous time spent with loved ones. But for low income and isolated older adults in our community, the holiday season can be a difficult time of year. Our community service Victoria Lifeline works with older adults all year long and recognizes the importance of social engagement to their overall health and well-being, which is why we wanted to partner with Home Instead Senior Care to make the holidays brighter for older adults in our community.
Here's how you can help:
From November 14th - December 5th, we are accepting donations of the following items to distribute to seniors in need this holiday season:
- Nutritional drinks (Boost, Ensure)
- Tissue (Kleenex, Scotties)
- Liquid hand soap
- Hand/body lotion
- Body wash
- Small packages of cookies/chocolates
- Razors and shaving cream
- Toothpaste (Sensodyne preferred)
- Fuzzy socks with grip
- Diabetic socks
- Mittens
