Elder Care

Transforming care of older adults through community

Seniors play an important role in our lives and are a vital part of our community. Together, we can improve the health of our growing senior population and help them enjoy a better quality of life.

Victoria Hospital Foundation is a committed champion of enabling older adults to remain in their homes and communities and developing innovative responses to the family caregiving needs of older adults. When hospital stays are necessary, we want to ensure seniors in our community have access to the best possible care at Victoria Hospital.

For the past 50 years, we have been dedicated to improving the health and well-being of older adults. Through our community service Victoria Lifeline, we empower seniors across Manitoba to live safely and independently at home. We continue to build on this important work through our new telepresence robot project, which supports informal caregivers of individuals living with dementia.

Through the generosity of our community, we have invested in initiatives to support seniors in hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic. These investments include new iPads to help elderly patients stay connected to their loved ones and complimentary television service to improve their comfort while visitor restrictions are in place.

With your support, there is so much more we can do. Together, we can continue to enhance quality of life for seniors in our community in our community and those who care for them.
